College Uniform Policy

College Uniform is worn throughout the school, but in the Sixth Form there are clearly defined alternatives to the blazer and grey trousers.

Our college uniform comprises:-

  • Navy blue blazer – with embroidered badge
  • Charcoal grey trousers of `standard school cut’
  • Plain white shirt
  • College tie – with House colour stripe
  • Pullover (if worn) in plain navy blue with V-neck
  • Plain grey socks
  • Plain black leather shoes (not in exaggerated fashion)
  • Top coat of a plain colour (no logos)

Sports Uniforms

PE

  • White poly/cotton shorts with elastic waist.
  • PE Sport Shirt in House colours
  • White socks

Rugby

  • Purple and gold  rugby jersey
  • Navy blue shorts
  • Rugby socks in college colours (purple and gold)

Sixth Form Uniform

  • A dark business suit
  • Plain white or blue shirt (not denim) – white on formal occasions
  • A sixth form tie
  • Hair must be clear of the collar and always kept clean and tidy

We do not think it reasonable to specify exclusive - and therefore expensive- styles when parents already have so many other calls on their money.  It is possible to purchase most of the items listed above from multiple stores, with only a minimum of college-specific items. These are available from Reception during college hours.

We ask parents to support us - and each other - in maintaining the high standards for which the college has justly been known, by ensuring that articles of clothing do indeed conform to the specifications above.  This is especially important with jackets, trousers and shoes.

College-specific items

  • The Blazer
  • The House Tie
  • The House Logo Sport Shirt
  • The College Badge - available from Reception during college hours

Equipment list

It is important that the pupils carry their planners with them at all times. They should also bring a reading book to school every day.

Can all pupils please ensure that they have the following equipment, and that they bring these items to school every day.

For normal working, they should use a black pen. This is mandatory for all exams. For other uses, they should also have a green pen for homework feedback.
