Developing Character & Confidence – Our Philosophy

At Desborough College
Developing Character & Confidence  |  Enrichment Curriculum  |  Vocational Curriculum  |  Student Leadership  |  Society & Relationships  |  Recognition & Rewards  |  Supporting Wellbeing  |  Safeguarding
We are a school community with a family feel. We want our students to know they belong, they are part of a close-knit and caring community, they are safe, and we truly believe they can thrive. We work closely with families and local agencies to support our students’ emotional wellbeing, physical and mental health, and personal growth.

We want our students to leave us with dreams for their futures, and the values, knowledge, and skills to be able to achieve these dreams. Our goal is therefore to have students who are self-regulating in their behaviours and act as role models for others. They lead by example. Our behaviour systems are therefore focused on recognition and reflection and are also clear and consistent.

We also think carefully about our enrichment curriculum, because developing character, confidence and skills through a range of sporting, artistic, and vocational opportunities is equally important as academic achievement for a truly holistic education.
