Over the years, with our roots as a grammar school, Desborough College has always had a proud history of strong academic outcomes and a long and historic roll of honour of students attending Oxbridge and completing PhDs.
Today, as a comprehensive sixth form, we offer both academic A level courses, and vocational courses. We believe all of our students, regardless of their academic starting point, background, or circumstances can achieve incredibly well. Our curriculum and teaching and learning is being redesigned to further raise achievement, but in recent years, academic outcomes have been consistently strong.
Key Stage 5, positive Value Added has been achieved, with an average grade of a C for A level. For vocational courses, most students have averaged a ‘Merit or Distinction’ grade.
