Why Choose

Desborough College?
Why Choose Us?  |  Applying for a Place  |   After Your Application   |   Open Events
Starting secondary school is an important milestone, and at Desborough College we want every student to begin this next chapter with confidence, curiosity and ambition. From the moment students join us, they become part of a community where they are known, supported and encouraged to discover their strengths and develop their interests. Our broad and ambitious curriculum is complemented by a rich programme of sport, music, the arts, leadership, enrichment and community opportunities, ensuring that every young person has the chance to find something they enjoy and excel in. Through our House system, tutor programme, and strong relationships between students and staff, we create a sense of belonging while helping young people develop the independence and resilience they need to thrive.

Our mission, Dream and Endeavour, lies at the heart of life at Desborough. We want every student to be ambitious about their future, to push boundaries, express themselves and make a positive difference to the world around them. We combine high expectations with a culture of care, encouraging students to work hard, think creatively and critically, build strong relationships, and learn from challenges. For families looking for a school where their child will be both challenged and supported, Desborough offers an environment in which young people can grow in confidence, develop their character and make the most of every opportunity — preparing them not only for success at school, but to become thoughtful, ambitious and responsible young adults by the end of their seven year journey here with us.
