45 students in Yr 10 have signed up for DoE alongside 30-40 students in Yr 9.

The DofE programme at Desborough College will provide your son with the opportunity to develop key skills which are at the core of our beliefs and values, which are known as ‘The Desborough Way’.

The DofE is an internationally recognised programme that will enable your son to; harness new skills, discover a new found confidence and develop a positive mind-set on life that everyone from colleges to employers and universities are looking for. Your son may already be doing most of the activities which can go towards his Award; the DofE is a fantastic way of getting these recognised.

By completing the Award, he will be able to make a positive contribution to the local community, improve his fitness, and create lasting friendships and unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime!

The award is split into different sections each allowing students different and exciting challenges and opportunities. Indeed, many of those who enrol undertake new interests that they may never have considered if they had not begun the programme.
